CHANK FONTS IN PRINT, a fine design contest, is a juried competition to showcase the work of today’s best and brightest designers and their use of Chank Fonts. This world-wide call for entries is an opportunity for you to show off your best work and receive recognition for your graphic talents and typographic skills.

James Boyd-Brent

Expertise: Graphic Design, Typography, Academics
Born and raised in the UK, James Boyd-Brent is an assistant professor in Graphic Design at the University of Minnesota where he has taught typography, foundation studies, and surface design. James has also co-curated exhibitions on contemporary design -- "Here by Design 1 and 2" -- for the Goldstein Museum of Design. His studio practice is drawing and printmaking, specifically large-scale intaglio prints. |

Award-winning designer Jeff Johnson created unforgettable brand campaigns for Diet Coke, Miller Time, and Fruitopia while working at Fallon (1992-1998). In 1998, Jeff started his own design company, Spunk. Spunk works with large corporations such as General Mills and Target, and also takes on quirky entrepreneurial clients like Share Save Spend and Tank Goodness.

Chief Inspector Robert Stephens founded the Geek Squad, a 24-hour computer support task force, with $200 in 1994. He ate ramen noodles for years, sleeping on his desk and repairing computers at all hours of the day and night. He built and designed all systems, processes, and branding for Geek Squad. In 2002, The Geek Squad acquired Best Buy and today Robert remains its Founder and Chief Inspector of over 10,000 Agents in North America. |

All winners will receive a certificate of excellence, signed and numbered by American Alphabetician Chank Diesel. Winners and their work will also be featured on Chank.com and in press materials.
Level 1 A winner will be chosen for each of these categories: Advertising, Branding, Brochures, Book Covers, Gear, Identity, Product Packaging, Signage, Stationery. These winners will receive the upcoming Chank Greatest Hits OpenType Fontpak.
Level 2 Judges will also choose winners representing the best use of Chank Free Fonts, Chank Professional Fonts, and Chank Custom Fonts. Each of these winners will receive the Complete Chank Font Library in OpenType format.
Level 3 One grand prize winner, the cream of the crop, will receive the Complete Chank Font Library in OpenType, a 5-year subscription to the Chank Font of the Month Club, and $500.
